Since it’s the beginning of the year you can ask about what big successes they had in the last year and what goals/opportunities they have for the new year. And tie yourself into making those goals happen!

Oof. Depends on the kind of job but I like asking what success looks like in 6 months/1yr. What the team dynamics are. How the boss describes their leadership style. How they like to get and receive information. Stuff like that
