Used PowerSchool for years. I HATE that it doesn’t play nice with google classroom. However you can use Grade Transfer instead of manually inputting grades. I highly recommend.

Private corporation there to make $. Ran samples for lots of hospitals, nursing homes and doctors in the area, thankfully it closed shortly after the outbreak

Worked in a micro lab plating contaminated blood for identification. When I asked my supervisor for puncture proof gloves and a face shield (non were provided) I was told that my predecessor of 30 yrs never used it! I quit that day. Two weeks later that lab had a TB outbreak. Shocking 🙄 🧪🥽👩🏻‍🔬

Remind is more formal as it comes from the app and not your personal number. Students also don’t have to give you their numbers, you give them a code. Much more secure and safe.

Our ISD was attacked last fall. We had to take a week off as all our locks, phones, and computers were affected. It was a nightmare.

I’ve used remind for years to communicate with students. I love it. I remind kids of quizzes, tests, project dates. Labs-wear closed toed shoes, no food or drink. They receive a quick text that I can schedule. I love it.

Does reuse post copy the assignment?

When I tried doing that it put all my student sections together and made grading a nightmare. I have to transfer grades from classroom to our PowerSchool grading site.

As a parent, I hated it. Limited what my child could read. Focused on silly “comprehension” questions that weren’t really comprehension. Stressed kids out. Taught others how to cheat the system to get though. Did not inspire reading for pleasure.

What do you suggest instead?
