I keep forgetting to post here, but I'm back on my leather working nonsense and making a new Death Walker's Ward for Vax. My original EVA foam build is looking Rough so it's time for some more sustainable materials.

I'm so happy I got Seedling and the shield done for Katsu. Orym feels finished now, just in time for campaign 3 to end. It feels fitting.

Their catalog is super searchable, broken out into easy to browse categories. And the best thing they have, 2D drawings AND downloadable 3D models of just about everything in their catalog. I typically grab the STEP file, that's a common industry standard file type many CAD programs can open.

Ok cosplayers let's talk about stock 3D models and matching hardware. My absolute favorite resource for this is McMaster-Carr. It's an online hardware store but they have just about everything you can ever need when making something. Plus super fast shipping. The Wawak of hardware.

A year of cosplay reprisals, but I did make Orym's shield and sword, Seedling. I'm super happy with how they turned out and the fact they both fit in my big suitcase. No hardcase for props this year!

So close to being done, but waiting on some clear weather to do final coats of paint. Dry fit of the shield. And blade primed and ready for sanding passes.
