That moment when an Anglo-Saxon team of authors still hasn't managed to distinguish Polish first names from surnames 🤦‍♀️

It feels like I left Spain years ago (it was 10 days) and this phase of #queermemorials project is over, but it is not entirely true as the last one, Monumento contra la LGTBIfobia, located in Rivas, has not had its debut on my social media yet

Made it to Olivenza after some serious travel gymnastics 🚍🚫🚗. Totally worth it though—the Parque de Diversidad hosts this beautiful, quirky, has-it-all #queermemorial 🌈💖

Spanish #queermemorials stop 3: Mérida 🌈
Special for 3 reasons: 1) 41°C 😅 so I broke my own research safety rules & worked after 21:00 2) The memorial is very worn out and heartbreakingly sad. Dear Mérida people, please renovate! 3) No one around except dogs, their humans & runners 🏃🐕🏳️‍🌈

When in Marbella, instead of buying just another LV bag, go to la Avenida del Mar and visit Monumento a la Diversidad LGTBI, one of the Spanish #queermemorials

#queermemorials project is back 🌈
This season: 🇪🇸
Did you know that under Franco, Spain had its own version of concentration camps for those accused of homosexuality? In the 1970s...
I didn’t, until this project.
Anyways, the 1st stop: Fuengirola’s simple but cute Arco Iris 🏳️‍🌈🏖

Scientific papers are like kids: you pretend to love them all equally, but deep down, you have a favorite. And this one is mine. Born from the brilliant MA thesis of Kathina Mehring, it's a reminder that co-writing with young scholars is the best part of this job. 💙📄

Just a reminder that my book Mężczyznologia is out! Sure, it's in Polish, but approx. 20-40% of books in your library are unread anyways so let it be one of them. Link in comment or DM me, I have plenty. And yes, please judge it by its cover because it's gorgeous. #UnreadButBeautiful #Mężczyznologia

On my way to Philadelphia and @ces-europe.bsky.social annual conference, where I'm presenting not 1 but 2 papers on transnational abortion activism in CEE & single migrant men. Anyone else from 🇪🇺 participating this year?

The holiday may be over, but the Puerto Rico photo-bombing continues! One highlight worth sharing: In a park in San Juan, you’ll find a stunning queer memorial, designed by Alberto de la Cruz and installed in 2016—a tribute to diversity and a memorial of all victims of homophobia #queermemorials

Five weeks in the U.S., and I’ve already taken part in three protests. Today, it was a rally organized by Harvard’s faculty and students, standing for free speech, the right to protest, and academic solidarity, despite all differences that are an inherent part of university life
