A wet chiweenie. Her black fur is slicked to her apple-shaped head and her eyes are very round as if asking, “why did this happen to me.” she’s wrapped in a rumpled towel that hides the rest of her body. Essentially the same photo, slightly more zoomed in on her wet apple head, but from a different angle that makes it look like she has branches growing out of her head thanks to some black decals on the wall behind her. Still a sad, pathetic wet dog.

Today Minnesota lost a great leader, and I lost a friend. A formidable public servant and a fixture of the state Capitol, Melissa Hortman woke up every day determined to make our state a better place. She served the people of Minnesota with grace, compassion, and tirelessness. Minnesota's thoughts are with her loved ones, and my prayers are with Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette, who were shot and wounded and are being treated. We are not a country that settles our differences at gunpoint. We have demonstrated again and again in our state that it is possible to peacefully disagree, that our state is strengthened by civil public debate. We have an elderly orange cat who likes popcorn. Not too weird but he is polydactyl and has massive paws so just imagine you are minding your own business and these huge baseball mitts start coming for your snacks.

here’s our growing kitten tentatively experiencing bedtime snuggles (she was raised in a bush and isn’t totally comfortable with the finer things just yet), and our elder puppy June in her souvenir poncho from Mexico City (she’s part chihuahua), rocking a Snapchat filter

i didn’t feel up to cutting the crown molding myself so that part will probably get done in may but otherwise the pink pony club bathroom transformation i did while my wife was out of town is done!

Darth we got a kitten and she briefly wore our bunny’s soft cone after her spay (we did have to swap for a more legit cone). her name is Baby Scarlett or Babette.

Heather’s writing frequently makes me cry. Anyway,
this is is among the many reasons I still wear a mask - disabled people shouldn’t have to fall out of the world just to stay alive. My wife and I alone can’t make a venue safe but I’d rather signal virtue than disregard for others.
