Is there another option?

I did not mention this at the time, but I finished 3-0 in Tarkir Dragonstorm pre release at my LGS!

I went with a low curve Sultai deck.
I did open an Elspeth Storm Slayer tho

There some great cards leading the archetype here. But, I always feel like there something missing and what I don't know what it is

One of my favorite aspects of MTG is big creatures. I decided to go Gruul Ramp and Big Beaters. In red I'm using some haste and/or value creatures. In Green I'm using mana dorks, land ramp and mana sinks.

What are some cards you think I should consider?

After you generate enough mana, and lock your oponnents, you can start the end game plan. Big dragons, big attackers and Genesis Wave or March of the Ents are incredible while your oponnents have no way to interact with your or your board. Cards like ToTP and Warstorm Surge also help close the game

And while they struggle, you are using your basic lands that only tap for one color of mana and generating treasures and value on top of your oponnents. You can still lock some oponnents out of the game using Blood Moon and Winter Moon.

Viridian Revel and Fangren Marauder are beasts in this deck.

If you use Land Destruction spells, you are forcing your oponnents to keep Jolene on the battlefield because they need mana. Even if you only use non-basic LD its worth it because usually are greedy with their mana bases.

I wanna talk about one of my favorite Commanders: Jolene, the Plunder Queen 🔥🌲

At first glance Jolene is kinda of Voltron that will generate value over time. And players tend to remove her after one or two rotations bc "she's done enough".

But, I think there is something unique about her. 🧶
