I graduated last week and was hooded by my thesis chair. I also was unexpectedly awarded the leadership award (kinda crazy I managed to be awarded this twice now, the first being in undergrad). I’m gonna miss the San Diego life, but ready to see where life takes me next.

One of my kids at work today had a panic attack and I was successful at helping them through it. It makes my heart so sad to see a kid this young experience that type of pain.

Two weeks late with this, but the best part about my 26th birthday was witnessing my 6 year old nephew experience the Disney magic for the first time (and also being with my best friend, his badass mom). I love being an auntie so much, and this kid means so much to me. Love my little ride buddy. 🥹

I am going on vacation next week with my best friend for my birthday, traveling to San Diego for my graduation two weeks after, and seeing The Coverups for the third time the week after that. Life is good. 😎

I love the cat distribution system. He showed up at my house a couple of months ago and was full of worms and fleas. Now he’s healthy and fully loves the indoor life.

My thesis was published online a couple of days ago. I’m finally a published author 😭
(Even though it’s not technically in a scientific journal, it’s still accessible in databases so close enough)

Tomorrow I’m submitting my thesis to the review board for publishing and catching up on a couple assignments I am missing. Then Wednesday, I have a group presentation for my final. After that, I will officially be done with my master’s program. Crazy.

My last day of grad school is a week from today and I don’t know how to feel. I accomplished so much in 2 1/2 years but now I gotta go back to the non-academic world that I hated so much in 2021/2022. 🥴

Can’t believe it took me till 2024 to discover presenter view. This would have saved me from so many bad presentations I gave in college because of my horrible short term memory. But I aced my thesis defense with zero issues though. 😎
