If they want to make even more extra money they can charge unstable molecules for all this stuff, but literally even just the option for it would be so fucking nice

And above all, focus on being good to the players. It will be more rewarding in the long term than making shitty $450 gacha skins. Please, Riot Games. From the bottom of my heart, I love the world of Runeterra. Please start treating it with the respect and love that it deserves. End/🧵

What it needs is to open its ears to the community again. Rehire those skin artists and start making quality skins again. Bring back Riot Forge so that spectacular indie talent can make something amazing that immerses people in the many compelling universes Riot has made. 7/🧵

About how well they handled the monetization. They were the example I held other games up to. But now, they're succumbing to greed and are about to find out what happens when you don't value your players. League of Legends is a high-octane esport. It doesn't need grindy battle passes. 6/🧵

It's pretty fucking difficult to believe them when they say that this decision isn't about turning a profit. League of Legends got so big by being good to its player base and avoiding scummy marketing tactics like battle pass exclusive skins and hundred dollar premium skins and gacha skins 4/🧵

they were supposedly not making enough money to reinvest into League and claiming that the free reward were "unsustainable" right after laying off of most of their staff leading to a sharp decline in skin quality as well as an increase in skin price 3/🧵

Between the recent introduction of a soulless battle pass and them bragging that they were doing so well that Arcane didn't even need to be profitable for them and League of Legends isn't about profit and then turning right back around and contradicting that by saying that 2/🧵
