It is a very annoying field to get into, heavily gatekept by professionals, abused by scammers and romanticised by everyone who wants to become one.

The “courses” in europe have become such a scammy way to get peoples money. Made by people with little or no experience, they charge thousands to give you a “diploma”. Apprenticeships should still be the way to go but very few good artists are good teachers or have the time to teach.
