Yeah, it's almost too appalling for words, but thankfully I can think of a few. "Himmleresque" for example. That's a word.

If you're buying a ticket to SXSW, you're paying the wages of whoever thought it prudent to invite the CTO of the company that created an AI that is literally responsible for the death of thousands of women, children, and otherwise innocent civilians.

Here's an article about Israel's use of AI in the Gaza war, including "Lavender". I'm sure it will make for a sparkling panel talk in a hip Hoxton venue in June.
‘Lavender’: The AI machine directing Israel’s bombing spree in Gaza
The Israeli army has marked tens of thousands of Gazans as suspects for assassination, using an AI targeting system with little human oversight and a permissive policy for casualties, +972 and Local C...

But wait, there's more! Don't like the war in Gaza? Well, you'll be so pleased to know that Palantir is directly responsible for "Lavender" - Israel's murder AI that is in part responsible for the extremely high death toll in this current war.

The thing that breeds a law enforcement culture distinct from a crude imitation of war in the UK is the fact that with very few exceptions UK police don't carry guns.

I honestly don't know what they're thinking. Maybe living here for nearly 35 years isn't enough to truly understand UK politics. The whole moralising pontification of it all is doing my head in. This is how we get a Reform (or Reform adjacent) government next elections.

A human teacher is a must regardless of anything else. The fact that anyone would think they can get around providing those and replacing them with shitty AI slop is beyond dumb.

This is in no way an endorsement of AI being used for this purpose, but I'd have actually chosen that answer. That section is not a conclusion of the overall topic of conflict in literature, and that's what the question was about.
