Still, the upside is huge. With focused support, Pakistan can double its IT exports in a few years 📈.

Even a 10% shift from traditional exports to IT could bring in billions more — and more resilient income.

➡️Global IT services market = >$1 trillion
➡️Higher margins than goods exports
➡️No logistics or customs headaches
➡️Builds skilled jobs, not just low-wage ones

Challenges:
➡️Talent needs upskilling
➡️Payment systems are tricky in PK
➡️Trust & visibility still need work

This is the moment to pivot — toward exporting IT and IT-enabled services (ITES)

Unlike textiles, IT doesn’t need shipping containers. It needs talent, laptops, and bandwidth. And we have plenty of that 🚀
