Can't afford to stay where we are since MIL died. Owe just enough that we can't afford to buy here after we sell. Gonna potentially lose our doctors that we fought so hard to get. Will have to add gas money to grocery money. Will have to add gas money to advanced schooling, IF that even happens.

Actually, completely wrong. When I couldn't afford Denver anymore, I moved to a tiny rural town. There was no work there or anywhere technically nearby and being so rural, they did not require me to work but I did have to requalify like every six months or something.
