He didn't hit many with the Rangers, so Martin Lapointe surely helps in some way too.

I still wanted them to get Cole Hutson at that rank, but time will tell if they were right with their bet and he was their guy as we saw on the draft video.

considering how our top line with the Habs were pretty much non-factors at the world junior, i'd say to just take it for what it is... entertainement for the moment, not a sign of the future.

Remember how Joshua Roy was with Bedard.

One day you might have a train

Technically.. Hughes traded Jordan Harris for Patrik Laine and Philip Danault

Well, the click bait just points to the fact that the 5v5 production is not quite there, but the powerplay is on fire.

So Norway is like Canada.
December 15, 2025 at 3:45 PM
I'm hoping Reinbacher will do it, but it's also the case on the power play.. I saw Lafrenière alone in front of Fowler the whole time.

it also explains why american tourists specify which state they are from instead of saying "from the United States", it's some weird thing that is typically american...

Let's say it's because the US pop culture is strong that people actually might know where that state is.
December 13, 2025 at 6:23 AM
it got into pop culture due to movies etc, but for some languages like french, you can't grammatically put America plural because it's one continent with 2 sub-continents.

There is a whole story about this on wikipedia, i won't bore you with all the details.. and...

Yeah, I can actually thank Twitter for making me check the english side of the Habs coverage... if I'd known better before.

Glad to see more cross-overs due to the podcast days and it's great.

He was not perfect in Laval at the start of the season too, but slowly got there. We should have confidence, this guy was the top goalie of every level he played.
December 12, 2025 at 7:30 PM
Canada is in America too.

There is no such things as "The Americas", it's all America.

But anyways, I gave up trying to explain this years ago lol... nobody calls the USA "America" outside of the US, we call it.. the United States.

My initial pairs at training camp were

Guhle-Dobson
Hutson-Reinbacher
Matheson-Carrier

1 puck moving D per line

As much as I think the goalie coach should be checked.. isn't it a bit early to praise him for Fowler?

Might as well praise the Boston College one.
December 12, 2025 at 5:18 AM
and they had 6 rookies in the lineup recently and are still the youngest team in the league by a large margin.

Who knew losing 3 vets would lead to defensive issues. 🙄
December 11, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Always used to at least have one goalie too.

Not happened often since 2018+
December 9, 2025 at 4:54 AM
I tried to bet like 1$ or 2$ on a Habs win over the last year, and I always keep forgetting, and I really have no kick out of it.

Guess I'm either responsible, or just.. not a gambler.

À première vue c'est une bonne idée, jusqu'à ce que tu réalises que ça ne t'avisera pas si soudainement ta voiture est en zone interdite.

Problem is, he's like 60% in faceoffs and the only left faceoff guy.
