This article really doesn’t do a great job of explaining measles is known to be airborne, again highlighting surfaces. What a missed opportunity to educate the public.

The whole argument for “immunity debt” is not credible 3 years after we dropped precautions.

“This particular power has been cast as something with a narrow scope that doesn’t unnecessarily or unreasonably interfere with privacy implications, but the actual text of the provision is extraordinarily broad..”

Totally unrelated, great book so far.

Can we definitively say Covid doesn’t have any negative immunity effects? If not, why is it only an issue for measles?

Like some of these issues directly overlap, some still seem like question marks for Covid. I find it hard to argue reducing transmission for one but ongoing transmission for the other (which mutates highly) is a nothing burger.

Hey, good reason to improve air quality.

“Nearly 5% of highly vaccinated adults experienced persistent LC one year after primary Omicron infection. Reinfection increased the risk for the development of long COVID.”

Good reason to ensure kids are able to be vaccinated before exposure to Covid.

October 8, 2023 at 1:32 AM
“A fifth of these workers requested rehabilitation and psychological support services, but their requests were granted in only six and 12 per cent of cases, respectively.”
October 8, 2023 at 1:31 AM
“More than 1/2 of the HCWs affected by LC had been experiencing symptoms for more than a year at the time of the survey, and 19 per cent of them for more than two years. A third of the workers were living with severe symptoms, and 14% had to cope with 3 or more severe symptoms.”
October 8, 2023 at 1:30 AM
“The majority of cases of long COVID in health-care workers were detected in employees who had been infected with the virus since the emergence of the Omicron variant, who had been vaccinated, and whose state of health had not required hospitalisation.”
