Doing what I described seemed the most eloquent way to avoid refactoring a complex component and routing tree for a <link> tag to get into the head. Having a preload utility would be cool! I also imagine there could exist a Relay-like compiler to detect this stuff, but this could be too much magic 😄

...and in these situations some images can be buried pretty deep, possibly under multiple layers of Suspense. They are not blocked by data as you rightly mentioned, and can even possibly be statically extracted, but I am not sure if there is an eloquent way to do that.

Thanks for the insights! Actually I wrote the post specifically for the case of dynamically rendered pages. Maybe the examples were too oversimplified 😄

We use Server Components/Suspense extensively in our dashboards, e.g. to render the nav elements ASAP while waiting for much heavier queries...

Thank you so much for reading it, did not expect anyone from Vercel to notice it 😄 I guess this is an interesting challenge to tackle from the API perspective, given that the components literally pause their execution when suspended. Also fixed the typo, thanks!

Just finished Cyberpunk 2077. After installing I opened GOG only once to update the game. The feeling when you click the icon and the game opens instantly without any “press shift+tab to show overlay” is pure bliss

I have recently been to one for the first time in about 14 years (12 -> 26 years old). The unexpected part was the amount of inertia my now heavier body had when thrown around in different directions

Most likely the impact of each weight will be exponentially decreasing, with top ten describing you with something like a 99.99% precision.

I know it doesn't work like this, but I imagine those weights being super weird but insightful like:
"wanted Infinity War to be the last Marvel movie": 0.96
