Please hear me out. We really cannot change Kirk. But what we could try to do is change the minds of people who follow Kirk. We cannot do that if we don’t get their attention. Having Kirk on the show is a way to get those people to tune in to the show.

By talking to folks like Kirk, if Gov Newsome can get into new circles (the circles that follow Kirk), it is a net win for us. They may see that some of the problems that Kirk or Trump identify correctly, may have a lot more humane solution than what Kirk and Trump offer.

Part of why we are here is because we shunned people we didn’t agree with. I think Gov Newsome is trying to see what their perspectives are (however unacceptable those perspectives may be to normal people). Dems have lost working class votes. We can’t find them by staying in our comfort zone.

As we saw during the H1B issue in Jan, anti immigrant sentiment is prevalent on both sides of the aisle. On the right the skew is based on ethnicity. On the left, it is somehow based on means (richer immigrant evil).

I don’t understand why Trump looks like someone stuck his head on a bodybuilder’s shoulder. This dude is out of shape. Won’t they feel embarrassed that they are showing he is out of shape by doing this kinda of stuff?
