The job of speaker is to be steady and even. Right now he’s in the minority so he can’t exactly be out there making demands. He has to be calm, cool and diplomatic even if it looks to some of us that he’s being too generous.
He’s going to need some Republican cooperation if he becomes speaker.

Yup, but everybody wants Democrats to do something now that they can’t do because they’re in the minority. He has made some missteps, but I don’t think he is the monster that they (dem voters) want him to be.

Most people don’t understand that the speaker of the house job is not to be a firebrand. The job is to keep your party members voting together. So we’ll see if he can do that or not. Right now everyone’s complaining about every breath he takes and it’s ridiculous.
