A large-scale applique project in progress. A drawing of a tall, purple foxglove flower with delicate petals and leaves is created in colored pencils on a sheet of paper. The paper is made from several printer paper sheets taped together, measuring approximately 79 inches tall and 48 inches wide. This drawing will be used as a template to cut out fabric shapes for the applique design.

Varying shades of fabric in blue and green colors. Fabric strips are in a vertical fashion at different random lengths sewn together to form the starting of a large weighted blanket cover. The cover is laid out on the floor.
