I’m reading an article right now about censorship and the academic world and how it’s becoming more and more prevalent in the southern United States when things become too “controversial” according to the algorithm #edu800fall25

100% but also as technology leaders how do we get our teachers to become better with digital tools? I have so many teachers who don’t want to change so the ideology is how to we get buy in from them?

Ok but is digital citizenship really where we need to focus or are we losing our sense of actually being literate with the overuse of technology? Kids don’t read anymore. Should we be focusing on digital citizenship or motivating them to read more than just a screen? Just a thought.

I really wonder though if with all of this saturation of new literacies if students are actually more literate and what is the measure we can use to tell whether or not that are. That would be an intriguing study to do I think.
