My thoughts on a major reason why the DOGE mindset is bad. If you thoughtlessly f*ck about at this intersection then you will find out.

Is anyone maintaining some kind of simplified account of what’s happening in the US? I can’t tell what matters and what’s noise (which I assume is deliberate) and want a scant “in ten years we will see that this stuff mattered” timeline or something (obv it’ll be speculative).

Facebook is truly broken at this point. This is about 60% of my feed now - “look at this things that’s obviously AI. I know no one will praise me for making it”. Is it just a scam victim recruitment pipeline now?

I swear to God, if I see one more person excuse Musk's absolute and undeniable support of fascism, obviously not meaning @stevepeers.bsky.social, because "he is autistic" I will lose it. Amazingly I've managed to make it 43 years on this planet as an autistic individual without supporting the Nazis.
Are Musk fans/apologists going to tell us that he's just giving his heart to the crowd, or that autism made him say it? Or maybe he's talking about the past guilt of Romans?? /s
Musk telling a German far right policy that there’s ‘too much focus’ on past guilty in Germany, less than a week after making a straight arm salute at Trump’s inauguration.

What’s the old maxim about if something walks like a duck and quacks like a duck?

Wut?
Seeing Chip Carter's beautiful eulogy is reminding me of a fancy-people thing that I never learned until well into adulthood.

Chip is a nickname for a guy named after his dad.
Skip is a nickname for a guy named after his grandfather.
Trip is a nickname for a guy named after his dad AND grandfather.

Her: “it goes, voices singing let’s be jolly, DEATH… then what?”
