It is a lot different. When you burn the books, the books are gone. When you remove a reference from a website, the data is still there -- just not published -- and can be re-published.

In this particular case, the governor stood up to Trump on something during the governor's meeting he had months ago. Since then Maine has been targeted with this and other measures by this administration.

Stop being so judgy. I don't use doordash ( or those other delivery apps ) because I can't justify the cost -- until my car was in the shop for an entire month and nothing is within walking distance of my house.

If it's "women's fault" because women don't want to go to work just like her husband and then come home to take care of children, make the dinner, wash the dishes, put in a load of laundry, put the kids to bed while husband is watching TV or playing video games, then you're right.

Interesting thing I just read -- Trump went on a rant at a presser and, among other things he ranted about, he was on about Chuck Schumer calling him a Palestinian regarding his vote on the CR. It's as if Trump was planning for a shutdown...interesting.

That would matter if Trump was going after Biden. But if he's going after the people Biden pardoned, it's not the point. He's saying he can now go after Jack Smith, Fauci, all members of the select committee, Biden's son, etc

I have read an article ( I have read too many I can't remember the source ) that said Trump would have even more liberties to fully shutdown ( permanently ) agencies and lay off people ( permanently ) in a shutdown.

NYT: He also warned that if the government closed, Mr. Trump and Republicans would have no incentive to reopen it, since they could selectively fund “their favorite departments and agencies, while leaving other vital services that they don’t like to languish.”

Per NYT: In a shutdown, Mr. Schumer said, “the Trump administration would have full authority to deem whole agencies, programs and personnel nonessential, furloughing staff with no promise that they would ever be rehired.”

Trump would welcome a shutdown and reek more havoc as it continued for months. Would GOP try harder to negotiate to stop a shutdown? What then? No SS / Medicare / Medicaid / SNAP payouts. Military not getting paid. For possibly months??
Which is the lesser of two evils? Where / how does it end?

What if he's right? What if he voted against the budget, a shutdown happened and Trump used that opportunity to gut out even more agencies and services?
Would that make Schumer be a hero or a traitor then?

He probably mentioned the sanctions on Russia to prove he's NOT a Putin puppet. He proved he didn't mean it by then going and continuing to praise Putin.
