Milwaukee’s North Point Water Tower started operating 150 years ago, in the fall of 1874. It houses a standpipe that served as part of an innovative system that brought 16 million gallons of clean water every day from Lake Michigan to 100,000s of homes over the next century.

The open cluster Westerlund 1, showcased in this Webb Picture, is located roughly 12 000 light-years away in the southern constellation Ara (the Altar) where it resides behind a huge interstellar cloud of gas and dust. #JWST
