I'd be interested to see @davidallengreen.bsky.social's take on this.

This is the Rutles? I'd also love to see something similar for the full Rutland Weekend TV series!

It was a pleasure to be there. I especially liked the heartfelt stories about George H and the Rutles sequence. Would love to see a RWT box set, by the way!

If they include new Peter Jacksonified mixes of Free As A Bird and Real Love, it would probably be worth it for those alone.

Looks great! I did something like this as far as Vilnius in 2012. The Warsaw-Vilnius leg was pretty slow, but hopefully that has improved now.

Mark Carney also has excellent taste in music. A few years ago he was sitting two rows in front of me at a k.d. lang concert.

Have you read Orbital by any chance George? I've just started it and a sentiment very similar to your post is expressed early on.

As you say in the podcast, each member of The Band brought their own unique qualities, but I felt Garth's playing, more than any of the others, is what made them sound distinctively like The Band. RIP Garth.

I'm very grateful you did - thanks so much! I've enjoyed every episode and particularly in the last year enjoyed connecting with you and other Band fans in the book club. Looking forward to more in 2025. Happy New Year!

A little later, Ringo came on and played drums on Sgt Pepper and Helter Skelter!
