A model for climate science?
In clinical research, advocates represent present and future patients. Over time our role expanded - we take part in the studies at every step: from concept to drug reviews. Unlike other stakeholders we cannot be accused of financial or career conflicts.

Why do some climate scientists characterize some advocates as "doomers" for sharing peer reviewed reports on climate change? This group of scientists insist on emphasizing or including positive advances. While their position has a basis, it's deflating that they have blocked advocates for it.

Either from ignorance of delayed response to climate forcing (Huh, what's that?) or reckless me-first endangerment ... parents are killing the future for their children, and climate scientists (sorry) haven't done enough (its not easy I know) to inform the public.

It's hard not to be cynical ... to expect government-directed policy changes to begin until it get's much worse.
Global warming is characterized by *delayed* response and feedback amplifications. It's a recipe for intergenerational injustice. ~ Dr. Hansen.

"Waiting to find out what price; You have to pay to get out of; Going through all these things twice."
I think Dr. Hansen has it right: it's going to take a political revolution to rid the government of special interest corruption. The dividend piece provides the opportunity to win support.

As a student of climate science, the policy change that provides the greatest prospect for a market-based *solution*; that aids instead of harming the victims further - was described by Dr. Hansen.
