I was a Twitter expert on politics, elections and the history of the New Testament but that was all taken away from me (except the New Testament). Now I’m aimless and adrift, searching for purpose.
Started to read the Shepard of Hermas today and checked to see how long it was. Feel like this AI answer nailed it. Why do you think? @laurarbnsn.bsky.social

While Trump’s political instincts are probably better than mine, I do wonder if he misjudged these tariffs.

While he may be correct that the tariffs hurt other countries more than the US, other country’s leaders can blame the US for their suffering. US voters can only blame Trump.

This whole “mystery drone” thing on the east coast and the UFO idea in general mainly rests on the fact that people are super uncomfortable saying “I don’t know”. Just because we can eliminate some likely causes DOESN’T mean your super unlikely conspiracy theory is more likely to be true.

This is a really tough time to be recovering from surgery because all the TV shows are really meh right now.

I had sinus surgery today and the surgeon asked if he could pray over me before the surgery. I accepted because I thought it was a nice gesture but my immediate thought was that he wasn’t as good a surgeon as I thought because I associate devout Christians with anti-science/conspiracy theories now.
