Just had an enjoyable hour or so in the company of Stuart Maconie at his talk in Liddypool to launch his fab and gear new Beatles book. Had a nice little chat afterwards and commended the lad for playing Hawkwind on his Freak Zone show. More, I say!

Busy week. Three lovely days in York, then went to see Muireann Bradley in Liverpool last night. Tonight it's 'The Signalman'at Edge Hill then a late gig at Molly's. Meal out and a Lancashire Hotpots gig in Liverpool tomorrow then another Band-Its gig on Sunday, this time at Fogherty's. Knackered!

The bells of Birkenhead Town Hall have been ringing every quarter of an hour for the last 135 years. Until today.
The council have received ONE complaint (the first in 135 years) from a new resident as a result the bells now only chime hourly.
I like hearing the bells. Bring 'em back, I say!
