A bucket list item achieved! I've finally seen the northern lights. And now I know photos don't really capture what the lights look like in real life and how spectacular they are. They were less vivid but much more complex and detailed than this photo shows.

The colors are absolutely perfect right now on the Mississippi River valley. I highly recommend a walk or bike ride along West River Parkway soon!

New bike lanes on 24th St S, new mini roundabouts in my neighborhood, and new paint on Hiawatha LRT trail, all on my morning bike ride today! I go away for 10 days and come back to this. It's like Christmas! 24th was one of the most dangerous streets I biked on regularly. Now I'll be so much safer!

I got to volunteer with both Rep. Katie Jones and my city council member Aisha Chughtai at their booths on Hennepin Open Streets! But man, I miss when Open Streets festivals were run by Our Streets. This one just didn't have the same zing. However, the skirt situation at Aisha's booth was top tier!

Definitely the largest of all the protests I've been to at the Minnesota state capitol! We marched for peace, community, and democracy in defiance of violence, fear, and fascism.

It's so delightfully peaceful and quiet on this patio, with Hennepin Avenue down to one lane of traffic. Just birds and chatter from fellow patio patrons are all I can hear!

I booked it out of that stuffy school and straight to the Namaste Café patio across the street. I ended the day with just one last #CaucusForAConnectedCity sticker left! Hope I can get more before the City Convention!

After a hot and hilly bike ride to the suburbs and back this afternoon, watermelon is absolutely hitting the spot! Thankful to yesterday me for picking one up on a whim! I guess we're done with our 2 weeks of spring, and it's summer now.

Today is #30DaysOfBiking day 26. I biked to the pancreatic cancer walk at Como Park in St. Paul to walk with family members in memory of my aunt, then I basked in the Como Conservatory for a while, and finally I went to Angry Catfish to test ride a bike. An action-packed day of biking!

Anyone know why there were 10 cars parked in the W 26th St bike lane next to Ella Baker school today? Is there some special circumstances related to Hennepin Avenue being closed for construction, or were there just this many clueless or selfish people?
