Many of our survival techniques don't work as well as we thought they would. When we encounter an event that we never expected, we are left to solve a puzzle that causes us to question "What do we do now?" For me, this happened when I had my stroke a few years ago.

Before we form new organizations to mock what we left, the first step is to deal with the harm and unprocessed trauma that threatens us with the same freefall the Evangelicals are experiencing.

It’s a plea for them to get better.

My stroke was almost 3 years ago, and I'm just now beginning to talk about it, a little. It was the single most devastating event in my life.

But, there were people that lifted me up, and this song pried this understanding out of me.
