The masculine side of their ancestry represented a place in their consciousness that repelled and terrorized them. A Kwisatz Haderach would be a male Bene Gesserit who would have access to the memories of both his male and female ancestors as well as an ability to bridge space and time with prescient ability.

According to Jack Herer in The Emperor Wears No Clothes, "After the 1938-1944 New York City 'LaGuardia Marijuana Report' refuted his argument, by reporting that marijuana caused no violence at all and citing other positive results, Harry J. Anslinger, in public tirade after tirade, denounced Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, the New York Academy of Medicine and the doctors who researched the report." Sonnenlicht durchflutet den Hintergrund. «Unsere Träumerin, wo bist du, an was denkst du?» Viel zu oft hört Sandra in ihrer Kindheit, während ihrer Jugend, aber auch im Erwachsenenalter diese Frage. Doch Sandra träumte nicht. «Ich hatte schon als Kind das Gefühl, anders zu sein. Ich konnte mich nicht gut konzentrieren, hatte oft Gedächtnisprobleme», erzählt Sandra. Gestern sind Cees Nooteboom und Helmut Rilling gestorben - beide im Alter von 92 Jahren. Der eine war mein allerliebster Reiseschriftsteller, der andere ein hochverehrter Dirigent, von dem ich in jungen Jahren sehr viel gelernt habe. Ich bin sehr traurig.

His primary target was alcohol. Since 1920, the country had been dry (in name if not in practice) and he was intent on enforcing the ban. But it wasn't long before he was a man without a cause. In 1933, just three years after Anslinger's appointment, Prohibition was repealed — and the purview of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics began to shrink. With alcohol off the table, the department's business was limited to narcotics like cocaine and heroin — drugs used by a very small percentage of the population.
