Not exactly. Fianne ate Cassia's twin sister, Tacita, and almost Cassia as well when they were children and lost in it's forest. But digesting Tacita's soul changed Fianne a bit. It couldn't harm Cassia and couldn't even let her die alone in the forest. Cassia of course at first feared and hated it-
