This was the perfect way to start my summer break from work! I'm looking forward to lots of slow mornings on my patio with my coffee and knitting 🧶☕🧶

Today's adventure. I can't wait to try these fiddleheads. Any recipe suggestions?

I think I'm going to wear this cardigan all the time! It's thin enough to wear on cool summer mornings, but I'm sure I will wear it layered in the winter too.

This is the #irishgoldcardigan by Joji Locatelli. I used Yak & Merino Sock yarn in Moose from my shop.

This yak/silk fiber blend is soooo soft, but I really don't enjoy spinning it.

Part of me thinks that life is too short and I should abandon this project for something more enjoyable, but I also don't want to be wasteful.

Should I skip this for something more enjoyable or keep pushing through? 🧶

I've still been knitting, even if I haven't been motivated to post. I've been busy, my last pattern release was a flop, and with everything going on in this country, it seemed a little frivolous to post about yarn and knitting. But lately I've felt compelled to rejoin this community. #knitsky 🧶

It felt so good to get some ☀️ while I got a few rows in today. Even with all the snirt and dormant plants. 🧶

Happy pattern release day to @karisinks.bsky.social! It was a pleasure test knitting this pattern! The lace was easy to follow and quick to memorize! 🧶 #riverbendsocks #sockknitting #lacesocks #patternreleaseday #testknitting

This is my new favorite sweater! 😍 It's(almost) exactly what I wanted. The next version will have a slight adjustment to make the pockets a bit bigger.

But I loved knitting it and love wearing it. I'm already thinking about yarn choices for my next one. 🧶 #skykal #knitsky #knitting

Here are just a few of my favorite socks that I have knit for #showmeyourknits Sock Week.

I almost always have a pair of socks on my needles and almost exclusively wear handknit socks now. They are just so cozy! 🧶

If you are in the northwestern Minnesota area, come to UMC on Monday to check out the "With Her Hands" Fiber Art Celebration! There are so many talented fiber artists with pieces on display. Plus, live music and food!

It's still Lace Week for #showmeyourknits and I want to share my favorite lace socks!

These are my River Bend Socks. My testers are just finishing theirs. Watch for the pattern next week! 🧶

I'm pretty happy with my skein of handspun I made from our rabbits' fur. There are some inconsistencies, but it should knit up fine. I'm glad I blended it with Corriedale; it made it easier to spin and should be easier to knit with too.

Now, to decide if I should dye it or leave it natural?

It's Lace Week on #showmeyourknits. The Peony Tank I knit a couple summers ago is one of my favorite lace projects! 🧶

Test knit for @karisinks.bsky.social This is my first pair of lace socks, and I'm finding the repetition of the pattern so fun! Using two very similar 50g Leave No Trace skeins from @explorerknits.bsky.social

It may be -19 outside, but this blooming orchid is a good reminder that spring is on its way. Eventually.

This yak and silk blend is lucky it's so pretty, because it is a pain to spin 🧶

I'm working on writing up a pattern, and I'm curious; do you print knitting patterns or just look at them on a device?

Specifically, patterns that have a fairly simple repeat and don't have extensive charts to follow. I'm wondering if I should format it for pageless viewing. 🧶

Please enjoy this very unaesthetic video of me steeking a cardigan 🧶

It's definitely not as scary as it looks!

I used Peace Fleece Worsted for the MC, and my own handspun Rambouillet for the CC.
