As terrible as it is that about 20% of German voters support the AFD they won't be included in government. The moderate parties will form a governing coalition and keep them out. The overwhelming majority of us still HATE the Nazis and the other parties won't partner with them.

1% of "active registered Florida voters" said they've never heard of Trump. 3% said they never heard of DeSantis in latest University of Florida poll. Assuming that UNF selected them from the voter records this makes me suspect that someone else used the voter IDs of some morons to vote for them..

I think this is meant to stop the birth tourism where (mostly rich) pregnant women travel temporarily to the US on tourist visas to give birth here and get US citizenship for their kids. They don't immigrate, they just want to give their kids more opportunities. Heard it's popular in China.

At urgent care you'd probably have paid $75 for that. With a child you can't risk that though. You can't know what's wrong beforehand. For me - unless I'm clearly at death's door I won't go to the hospital anymore. I drag myself to an urgent care first and see if they can't patch me up.

Yes, I want X-Twitter to die and the only way Bluesky is going to be able to compete is if it is a viable business. There won't be enough people willing to pay even a small fee to make this a viable alternative. So advertising is a necessary evil.

It's completly insane. My husband and I pay 24k a year in health insurance premiums and we don't dare to go to a hospital.

Meanwhile Broward Health has been harassing us with invoices for $4k in unspecified charges for a simple diagnostic procedure that they told us would cost only $350 (long story). Their billing practices are predatory. They are leeches. We are involuntary customers.

Good. I think she is awesome but she needed more time. I'm so mad because I'm convinced that many men (and some women) just won't vote for a woman. I used to think feminism is silly but I'll always vote for a woman over a man in the future.
