“Sunrise at Olson’s Depot”, oil on canvas, 16” x 20”. The most color when the sun is rising is right before it pops above the horizon. This time of year, the sun rises at around 5:15am, so I have to be up and out the door by 4:30am, getting up with the lobstermen!

I spent the afternoon in a swamp. I love doing that, except it was a windy day and by the time I was finished I had grass, twigs, dirt and bugs stuck to my oil painting! I had to repaint it a little bit when I got home! Oh the life of a plein air painter!
