Chapter 5 - Buried Secrets The site of the attack was now surrounded by yellow tape to let the investigators take the stage to prevent further accidents. Sarada handled and passed the handwritten witness statements Kawaki and Sumire gave her. It was done to prevent stressing the victims in this case.

I appreciate the journey of writing Gambler of Feelings. Yes, the beginning was rough, but I love the ending I wrote till this day and wouldn't change it. It was an amazing journey that helped me improve as a writer and pursue writing new stories that will be more polished.
One petty bet led to another bet that changed her life and helped her to find love along the way. Boruto stirred up the emotions Sarada long thought she had forgotten that were constantly spinning on a roulette wheel. It was him that made those buried emotions spin and swim to the surface. Facing them led to happiness. In a way, he played the game of love better than she ever did. She wasn’t anxious about their future anymore. Sarada was sure wherever they go they’ll be together. Boruto’s the partner that would bet everything to remain at her side forever. Her little gambler of feelings.

We're skipping to Kurama's and Hima training where Kurama explains Himawari's more similar to Jura/Tailed beasts, which is so fascinating! She needs to switch up her fighting style because she's more like concentrated chakra being! Can't wait to see it!

I knew it! Part of Sumire's frustration with Sarada was Sarada's denial of her feelings, haha. Makes total sense. I love everything about this scene. Boruto TBV is shaping up to be more of an amazing ride!

I totally think reading Sarada's prior words to this panel has a stronger impact, but I'm showcasing the page purely because I SCREAMED seeing this. Sarada accepting her feelings for Boruto is such a powerful panel! Also Eida's reaction is hilarious.

By the way Eida's spying on them, so most of the Boruto girls appeared in the chapter. What I like is that it's now only Sarada acknowledging Sumire, but Sumire apologising to Sarada, too. I LOVE this duo so much!

My favourite page of this entire chapter. It's not flashy. Just Sarada saying Sumire's name, but that's incredibly powerful panel considering their prior argument. Sarada acknowledges Sumire DESIRE TO be called by her name, insted of the nickname. I'm happy.

OMG! SUMIRE AND SARADA. They'll have a conversation soon. Yes, please. Look at those panels. Both of them look DAZZLING, albeit a bit tense. No surprise considering what happened before between them.

We barely started and I adore this page. See how Konohamaru's gaze is so soft? The reactions is so different from when Matsuri attempted to call him with chan suffix and it's beautiful. I also adore happy Hima looking at their hug.

Shinju’s Love Agency part 2!

Would anyone willing to bake for Shinju’s Love Agency success? 💜
Jura was in a pickle. Shinju’s Love Agency gained an office after riveting negotiations with the current Hokage. He was sure Shikamaru Nara only agreed to situate Jura’s matchmaking services in Konoha to gain upper hand over Shinju and take them down. That was fine. Jura welcomed the futile attempts of Konoha shinobi to get rid of him. It wasn’t a problem at hand. However, to do his research on love he needed clients. Clients he currently didn’t have. Unfortunately, no one showing up for a matchmaking consultation halted his pursuit of knowledge. So, of course the subject of the Shinju’s Love agency came up when Jura and Hidari gathered together to discuss a book they both read. ‘Psychology of Love’ was a book Jura borrowed from Konoha’s library to gain a better understanding of what’s expected from love consultants. He lent it out to Hidari when he got busy handling all paperwork to set up their office. That being said, Hidari read the book further ahead than Jura. “That’s the situation. Any ideas?” he asked Hidari. “It says love agencies tend to have so-called dating apps where human failures band together to find their match,” he answered, his eyes lingering longer on the section of the book that involved fatherly love. “A dating app,” Jura hummed thoughtfully. “Shinju’s Love Agency doesn’t have one yet. It’d explain why I don’t have any clients.” “So it’d seem like,” Hidari flipped to the next page of the book that described the woes of romantic love. “But launching the app isn’t what gains you clients. If humans don't know Shinju’s Love Agency app exists your research might as well be over.” “That, my friend,” Jura smiled widely, a dangerous glint in his eye giving a sinister vibe. “Calls for so-called promotion aimed at our target demographic. Apparently, humans like to have free-trial-samples of new businesses that open up.” “Free time-samples? Humans truly come up with the most pointless ideas. They’ll end up paying for the service either way.” “I don’t disagree, but when we’re in Konoha I need to play ‘nice’ to progress my research,” Jura sighed. “After we use your idea to create Shinju’s Love Agency App, I’ll make sure to include a free-trial sample of it. That way humans will willingly pay to be my research materials.” “That’s great and all… Where does the promotion part come in?” Hidari made a good point, but Jura already came up with an answer. “We’ll hand out fliers and cupcakes for our agency in Konoha’s largest library!” “Can you bake?” Hidari asked. “No,” Jura replied, realising the biggest hole in his marketing strategy. He never made cupcakes. “I can’t either. What would humans call it? I remember… Total fail’.” And that’s how Shinju’s Love Agency realised their matchmaking services need to be promoted.

“I’m thinking of creating my own dating agency,” Jura said, not missing a beat. “A dating agency…” Hidari turned to the next page of his book. “Isn’t that the place where humans who failed to find a partner gather to court each other?” “You’re not exactly wrong, my friend,” Jura replied, then clapped in a display of childish excitement. “But not completely right either. It’s also the type of place where my research on love will be the most fruitful! As a passionate love researcher, I concluded it is an ideal environment to help us with our goal.” Hidari closed his book, then looked at Jura with a blank expression rivalling the emptiness of matryoshka dolls. “How a dating agency would help us devour our targets?” he asked. “That’s simple.” A wide smile on Jura’s face appeared every time he remembered Kawaki’s compliment and made him more confident in this avenue of research. “We devour humans to fulfill our need to evolve and understanding love will help us to not share the fate of our fallen comrades that faced defeat because of it. Only through fully understanding love can we find countermeasures to overcome it.” “I suppose it makes sense,” Hidari opened his book again, evidently losing interest in conversation. “Good luck with your research.” And that’s how Shinju’s Love Agency was founded.

Part 1 of Shinju’s Love Agency BlueSky fic! Someone stop me, please. 😭

I apologise in advance to Jura and Hidari fans.
Shinju’s Love Agency (Canon Divergent AU) part 1; Jura’s always yearned to understand how love affects every living creature. He believed love was the biggest weakness humans wielded, yet it gave them strength, too. However, his recent battles made him keenly aware that reading books about love wasn’t enough. It was asking the right questions that gave him the most varied results for his research. ‘What is love?’ Such a simple question with varied answers! Inojin Yamanaka foolishly walked into death to protect Himawari Uzumaki and she awakened to new powers due to love. Matsuri and Konohamaru both let their guard down, having their weaknesses exploited because of it. Sarada’s Uchiha case was similar to Himawari Uzumaki where her powers decimated Ryu with love being the primary guide leading her. Boruto Uzumaki never hesitated to march into death to protect his loved ones. He claimed monsters like Jura wouldn’t be able to understand love. In But it’s Kawaki’s praise about his instincts that put Jura on such a cloud nine to pursue his research about love much further. Beyond reading and asking questions in the midst of the battle, Jura needed more concrete data about love to understand it in all of its facets. It wasn’t enough to read or ask questions in the midst of a battle. His hunger to fully understand the power of love grew exponentially with each day to one day devour his chosen target. And as much as his recent battles provided him with a new content about love to mull over, the battles themselves were distracting in the middle of researching such a fascinating subject. Asking about love when being impaled was a good way to kill time, but a safer environment to research it would be nice. In one of his books Jura read about dating agencies where they hired love experts to help humans in so-called hooking-up. That gave him a brilliant idea that would enrich his research. Hidari was sitting next to him in their hideout reading one of the books Jura borrowed from him. Amongst the Shinju, Hidari was the only one who appreciated classical literature in the way Jura did. That’s why Jura was excited to share his plan to deepen his understanding of love with him.

Jura was happy to get a compliment from Kawaki and Hidari saying he learned the new phrase when someone gives you a compliment send me into a laughing fit.

I love Jura as the antagonist. Only he’d sit down in the middle of the fight and bring up researching love. 🤣

I can imagine him working in a Dating Agency as a matchmaker in the AU of sorts and claiming he’s researching the effects love has on others!

Anyway, the fight continues and Sumire thinks Kawaki might stand a chance against Jura, while Amado says he doesn’t. Jura then has a monologue about Uzumaki family and Sarada awakening new powers and Sumire’s reaction is precious.
