I think I’ve finally caught up with #thearchers - our household routine is a bit tight these days - but I seem to have missed what happened to Rochelle after the abattoir shenanigans. Has she been allowed to slip quietly into the back woods somewhere or is that still to come?

I discovered something about our new TV box. I couldn’t get the subtitles to stay on without much poking about. All you do is hold the microphone symbol down and say Subtitles. Imagine! Can’t wait to tell Beryl. #newalanbennetts

Some wretched robot keeps telling me when to change my ink cartridges, nosy parker. Managed to cancel that thank goodness. Even I can work that one out for myself. They’ll be telling me how much food to put in my mouth next. #newalanbennetts

My friend Beryl’s watch speaks the time to her as she can’t see the numbers. Her phone reads out her letters - so clever. But I’d hate to have all those gadgets, it feels sort of intrusive. Like Alexa spying on you all day. #newalanbennetts
