First Raychael saw it, and she said, “Hold on guys, before you hang that next letter… just let me do this quick,” and then I got it (and started laughing as Raychel snapped pics) and then in the progression of the pics, you can see the guys “got it”.

My husband Matt and his brother Nelson lost their Dad today.
For the past year or so he didn’t recognize me anymore but he always hugged me & told me how much he loved me ((thinking I was his beloved cousin Betty)).
Even if the visits were always slightly bittersweet, I am going to miss them.

My husband Matt and his brother Nelson lost their Dad today.

Josephine Sculpture Park this evening!! I left my heels at home & volunteered to wear tennis shoes & drive our guests to and from the parking via golf cart 🥰. I had a great time. I even invited the mayor of Lexington to come back for a private tour, if she liked my driving skillz. You can come too!

Fox Creek Apiary: Half the hives are making honey now and the others are making new queens. The top bar hive bees are so calm, they are pleasant to work with. Langstroth hives (#12 and #1) are feisty, but definitely down to business! Even with all this rain.

This should work! These also didn't come with spacer bars for the honey bars. I will have to make those. But I have a week or two for that. Currently putting beeswax on the bars so the girls will “build properly”. 🤞🏻 (I sell 1 oz. bars of beeswax for $1 each)

I branded the TBH I ordered from Dadant Bee Company, painted them with low VOC exterior paint, changed out the legs with some longer 2x4's (the ones that came with them are really short!) and drilled some holes for ventilation, covering the holes with 1/8" wire mesh you can find at a hardware store

So I have been too busy to make the two new top bar hives I am needing, so finding myself in a pinch, (because I have alraady done my splits and they are about to outgrow their temporary hives!). So I bought Dadant’s and made some adjustments:

My latest acquisition, the condemned house & garage next door: She’s a goner. With no septic there’s no way to save her. We have already had it Hazmat cleaned and asbestos removed. Demolition permit approved. #2008FoxCreekRd
