The best April fools paper is 100% Catsteroseismology: arxiv.org/abs/2503.23560
Need to analyze the purr-mode oscillations of my cat as well lol.

Yeah I’m trying to be conservative in week one so that hopefully it heals quickly. 👌
But not much experience with broken bones as an adult so no clue if the six weeks are realistic.

Badly fractured pinky toe means no running for 6 weeks and crutches for now. 😬😭 I’ll spare you the feet pictures but it has become very colorful 😵🤢

Not sure how to survive dark season and the holidays without my physics outlet. Any advice from fellow running addicts?

The word eggplant makes so much more sense now 😅

Doing outreach today at the French “fete de la science” for school children. They are always so curious about astronomy. 😃☺️

Was great being part of the Euclid picture release at ESA and the live event with the scientists involved in the ERO. The first science papers are officially out 😅👍

Having a great time this week at ESA Madrid and we got some cool things coming tomorrow 😄👌 there might be a hint in the picture 😂

Todays weather pattern reminds me a lot of star formation in a galaxy 😅

I finally ran a PR at the Wantzenau Half yesterday with a 1:37:58. 🥳 It took me 4.5 years to beat my half PR I ran in Utah in 2019 on a slight downhill course. Mainly it seems like the winter of speedwork (aka tons of hard intervals with the club) is paying off.

The number of vacation day you get in France is truly wild. This year I had 44 days available. Even with taking a month off in summer, 2 weeks to go to iceland & all standard holidays at least a week, travelling to races & now 2 weeks at Christmas. I somehow still have 8 left 😅

5k PR today in 21:34! 🥳🥳
Ran the local Christmas race to get some Speed back in these marathon legs. My last 5k race was in 2019 and I haven raced anything shorter since then. 😬 winter of speed is coming along. Let’s see how close I can get to 21 before spring.

There is nothing more exciting than waking up to snow on a December weekend! SNOW SNOW SNOW ☃️🌨️❄️

Euclid even in the Tagesschau, germanys most important news progam 😀

It's so nice seeing everyone excited about the Euclid data arriving. When you work on these since months and have wrangled with all the issues and details it was mostly pain not joy. Here is the Perseus cluster in all its detail. The detail and resolution is just incredible.

That was no easy frankfurt marathon yesterday. Matthieu had a great one and smashed his PR with a 3.29!! I Ran through a migraine the first 30km and wanted to drop out the entire way but then somehow finished. Was good for a 3:48 today which felt really easy & my third fastest time ever.

When I get out her favourite toy I can see her eyes dilate and hunting mode being engaged. This is the toy: a pink fish with strings

The cat has reached new levels of cute, but the big black doll eyes are deceiving because she was hunting and ready to attack.

The refusal of @unistra.bsky.social to switch on the heating has reached ridiculous working conditions. I get wanting to save energy but this is simply unacceptable.
Whether women still feel their fingers? not important apparently.

I heard my name so much and just the cheers overall were crazy. It was the best and I was smiling most of the time just taking it all in. It was pure marathon magic. Some days it just all falls into place. I named the run on Strava "Du bist so geil berlin"

Its been 3 days since Berlin Marathon and I am still floating on cloud 9. What a race. I had a magical day and was rewarded with a new shiny PR of 3:38. When a Marathon goes well there is nothing like it. Danke Berlin

For this to feel like a real social network I need to post photos of our cat, right? Her sleeping positions are becoming more ridiculous with every degree it gets hotter outside.
