Check out the new study by aafcs.org which shows that FCS professionals make 60k+ in education and other industries. In fact, FCS generates BILLIONS each year for states.

That's shockingly common. But I'm sure Jackie learned from her mistake, thats what FCS classes are for. We just need more of them and more kids to get access to them.

We still exist! Over 46,000 students graduate with a family and consumer sciences degree each year and obtain positions in over 200 sub-industries and 300+ occupations. FCS is one of the largest spanning industry sectors. Learn more, visit the Alliance for FCS.

Love this! Congrats Amy Heffelfinger and Heidi Ripley! We need to support our FCS professionals as they teach life skills and support their communities. FCS is critical for all.

Family and Consumer Sciences includes many of those occupations and many many more. While I agree those working as educators are underpaid, other occupations in FCS attract much higher salaries, let's work together to promote all FCS occupations within the FCS Industry.
