They used to do it eight or 9 inches along the outside of the hip recovery was a lot longer and you were restricted from skiing running doing a lot of things basically they’ve come a long way in their technique

Also, when they do it in the front, you have no restrictions after you can go back to doing everything you used to do eventually

I’m 56. They came in from the front only have a 3 inch scar. Feel soooo much better. The thigh bone stays sore from where the stem of the new joint is anchored in. Other than that the hip itself feels great. Get up every hour and move. Do your PT once a day. Ice every one to two hours.
