I'm 64 my husband is 66. Our rent is now $1,800 a month for a very small not updated apartment near Seattle. I am truly terrified. I can barely keep up with his medication and doctor appointments (thank God for a sliding scale clinic here!) Social Security money only is enough to pay rent.

Being low income really sucks. My husband's only working 2 days a week after a heart attack last summer. 401K is pretty much wiped out just having to live. Only 4k. Social Security charted but even that isn't guaranteed and that's only enough to pay rent your tiny little apartment w/o extra storage.

I've seen that a lot in government lately. I can't remember her name but there was a Democrat I believe in the Senate that kept voting with the Republicans and they fully expect her to switch parties? I think that they register undercover so to speak to do that kind of thing.

Well that's just f****** lovely because low income seniors already have a hard enough time trying to find some place to live without all the waiting list, but having that little extra time to come up with the money is a help.

Does anybody wonder if certain people pretend to be of their opposite beliefs so they can get these kind of votes in? I know it's a conspiracy theory crap but I shouldn't go there but it seems to happen a lot where people you think will support you and then they don't.

I don't understand how this hasn't already been done. I understand that things have gotten a lot more expensive in general but the outrageous run increases is out of control. I'm grateful here in Burien they have to give us a 6-month notice for anything over 10%.

Yep. Our country is probably never going to be the same again. People that could have stopped this, could have stopped him from even being chosen as their candidate didn't give a damn. It's truly disheartening.
