Someone was clearly very busy last night.

I ate breakfast with this happening, the cat/dog flap is just around the corner, and his sister had just used it to come in, but I am the worst human ever apparently. The dogs are worse than the cats.

On #Caturday I am pleased to report that the indoor cat grass has been tasted and passed muster, its only taken two weeks.

I think she may have just about forgiven me for the last 48 hours. After weeks, months, of 'domestic' issues with my home (electrics, drains etc) we've moved to stay with friends, so I can work, and she can be OK. But there are resident cats and dogs, so she's very miffed. #Caturday

Has everyone gone insane? Would they have had the same reaction if these statements were about Russia? I'm sure that in the '80s far worse things were regularly said on TV about politicians & Thatcher's government was insane as from 88-94 they made TV dub Gerry Adams voice, for reasons.

No its not. Love how they seem to ignore Ofcom, which, as someone who deals with this almost daily, but not for news, I would argue supercedes any individual broadcaster guidelines. This is the definition of 'due impartiality' from Ofcom guidance.

Absolutely agree. Except, & apologies this is part of my day job, its 'balance' not 'impartiality' that's one of the main issues with the BBC as 'due impartiality' is a requirement under Section 5 of the Ofcom Code, its very nuanced, but look at the differences between Ofcom & BBC guidelines.

Context, as defined in Section two: Harm and offence of the Code, is important. Due impartiality usually involves more than a simple matter of ‘balance’ between opposing viewpoints. We must be inclusive, considering the broad perspective and ensuring that the existence of a range of views is appropriately reflected. It does not require absolute neutrality on every issue or detachment from fundamental democratic principles, such as the right to vote, freedom of expression and the rule of law. We are committed to reflecting a wide range of subject matter and perspectives across our output as a whole and over an appropriate timeframe so that no significant strand of thought is under-represented or omitted. In applying due impartiality to news, we give due weight to events, opinion and the main strands of argument. We may produce content about any subject, at any point on the spectrum of debate, as long as there are good editorial reasons for doing so.

On #Catuday another throwback to when Marlowe was still with us. It was unusual to see them cuddling like this as Lyly is a mean girl, her favourite game was, when he was out, to wait by the cat flap so she could slam it closed on his face when he tried to come in.

This #Caturday a throwback to when Lyly's brother, Marlowe, was still with us. He was playful boy & his favourite toy was his 'Camberwell' carrot, he would often drift off to sleep mid-play. Lyly and I miss him very much.
A brown and white fluffy cat is fast asleep on a chair. He is lying on his side, but in such a way that his white very fluffy belly is exposed (yes its a trap). Under his chin, resting on one his arms, is a Kong carrot - filled with catnip.
