My mom passed away last October. I took her tiny Thanksgiving plant home. I was somewhat disappointed when it didn't produce October blooms, until these first two flowers appeared last week and I realized the plant wasn't named for Canadian Thanksgiving . .

Crude but effective cage, the rabbits were thwarted and the tulips were finally able to produce potential blooms! First time in (cough) years during which I forgot to protect them.

I am patiently waiting for mine to get to that state! It won't happen until June though, here in zone 3.

My newest gardening adventure! I'm using "seed snails" to save on space and soil, and no entangled roots when replanting in the garden. Onions and leeks were the first seeds I tried.

My son Fred and his cousin Paul played for CEC at literally the first show of Festival du Voyageur and as parents we were there for it.
