I just noticed this...another brick in the wall.
Trump continued a firing spree at the Library of Congress on Saturday when he dismissed the top copyright official in the nation — a position traditionally overseen by the legislative branch.

Gives me hope
Is Science Dead? Nah… We’re Just Getting Yelled at Again, Like the Good Troublemakers We Are
It’s too early to proclaim the death of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or medicine.

What is the point of the cruel treatment? What purpose does it serve?
ICE stripped a German green card holder naked, drove him from Boston to Vermont to Rhode Island, put him in a cold shower, deprived him of medication, sleep and food until he collapsed.

No one knows why he was detained.

Fabian Schmidt’s family said they are unsure of why he is being held. They said he has a recently renewed green card, and no active issues in court.

What I wonder is how those who voted for Trump could believe they wouldn't be affected. Anyone could end up in the cross hair of this government.
"If you are not a citizen of the United States, and you are going through an immigration process, your first thought needs to be: How can this process be weaponized against me?"
This is a very sad story, but what makes me crazy is that people tried to explain that this is what would happen and got caricatured as "woke" hysterics www.usatoday.com/story/news/n...

Protect yourself so that others may be protected. It's not hard...the Japanese have been doing it for decades.
I hope you're observing Long COVID Awareness Day by starting a practice of wearing a mask in public; both to protect yourself from the possibility of being disabled by Long COVID and to protect those of us who already have it from becoming further disabled or dead. Masking is caring! 😷❤️

"When I came here, my eyes were open...I got an education that was unbelievable....my perspectives on people have changed."
The strength to publicly admit to being wrong, to listening and learning, should be celebrated
Larry waited for hours to voice his support for an anti trans bill in Wisconsin. While outside, he listened for a long time, to trans folks & parents of trans kids.

He changed his mind.
