On Aug. 2nd at 2 p.m., I will be joining several other local poets at the Oliva Gallery (3816 W. Armitage) to read 3 short poems on the theme of "Luminosity" to accompany their new exhibit. If you're in the Chicago area, come join me for an afternoon of poetry and art!

It's been SO LONG since I've shared a poem online! I've still been writing poetry, but I've not been very satisfied with it lately, as though some spell has been broken. Hopefully I'll get out of my funk soon!

And here's her greyhound half!
I've got an American lurcher, meant to be a "swim hound" in field races, so she's a 50/50 greyhound/coonhound mix. She doesn't really lurk so much as she thunders around the house like an elephant all the time, so it's hard for her to sneak up on us.
