Temperature quilt after several color pallet changes and even the year 1978 (a brutally cold).
IEQ8 used to trial colors. Flying geese unit for high & low temps for each day. January 1 in upper left. Days go diagonally to the bottom left.
Quilt made of flying geese units. Blue represents cold temperatures. Red represents hot temperatures. Every color of the rainbow is used, 26 solid fabrics, in all. Each day has both high and low temp (low temp flying geese are beneath the high temp for the day and turned 180 degrees, forming a split diamond look). The blocks are arranged diagonally, upper left to lower right, so the quilt will have a mostly red center (summer months) diagonal from lower left to upper right.
