Meh, I don't think you've had direct experience with every single Democrat ever, but there's no point in discussing when the current regime is literally trying to destroy the world.

Most of them are, but not all. And this year we may be able to rout out a few more in primaries. The only mass stereotyping I will do is to say that every single existing Republican is a cruel insane POS. I will explicitly vote against them until there's evidence to convince me otherwise.

I see the point, but I don't think he's going to be able to appear in public much longer, if he stays alive, so I still think 2024 was the time to shut him down. The trouble now is that Miller and Thiel, etc. are actively gaining power and won't stop until they're forced to.

You're saying that no action I could have possibly taken wasn't a vote for Trump, "effectively"? Kamala wasn't good enough and I do blame the DNC, corporate non-opposition party, but I'll never forgive the voters, either.

I mostly agree - but I optimistically believe, with the obvious leftward shifting of the base, there will be a huge tide of new candidates that the DNC won't be able to keep down. Hope I'm right....

But we also need to immediately get out of our descent into fascism in the short-term, too. I believe the choices will start improving due to what we've seen happen.

The road to Trump had a lot of help from the non-opposition party, but the actual elections of Trump were because people voted for him and not for his opponents.

That's what primaries are for. If you're sitting out general elections and letting literal nazis win, then you deserve the country you get. Primaries are critical!!!!! But there is also a lesser of 2 evils, especially now.

Of course not, lots of things went wrong to lead to this, but having the country actually being run by Steven Miller and potentially Peter Thiel wasn't happening before that.

We've been in a constant hair-on-fire state (not complacent, imo) since Nov. 2024 and the regime wants us to feel hopeless and defeated, rather than explore all options to resist. In my opinion, it's all hands on deck to constantly combat right-wing lies in a variety of styles and emphasis.

Hitler was fairly popular for a while and the biggest resistance wasn't until 1942-43, so we're not in an identical situation. The EU isn't going to save us and Russia will only help the current regime. "Key Dictatorships Overturned by Peaceful Protest" is worth a google. Resistance is growing.
