Our neighborhood cat friend visited recently. I'm not sure what he was after--at this time of year it could be birds, lizards, bugs. We call him Orange and White Kitty. I think he is the son of Mama Kitty, a lovely old calico who also lived across the street.

@neuroqsolarpunker.bsky.social has inspired our household towards more conservation, reuse, community building--lots of good things I associate with solarpunk. In related news, kiddo learned to mend today, practicing on my favorite wool socks that I thought I had to throw away and replace with new!

How we try new foods ☺️ Kiddo has been eating sticky rice their whole life bc Lao heritage, but the satay and papaya salad are new to them. We had plenty of rice and rotisserie chicken as backup. Neither of us liked this satay, so kiddo had rice and rotisserie chicken, and me too plus papaya salad.
