Ok I get the content but please. Concerning is a transitive verb requiring a direct object. The headline needs to read Distressing. Not concerning.

Once someone asked my sister if she’s Japanese. “No, but I play one on tv.”

Early 2000’s, neighbors mistook me for Tess Gerritsen. Just last month, another senior neighbor wanted to know if I’m Japanese. He wanted me to identify something he just picked up at the store. It was ramen.

I love this, “gaman, Georgie.” For encouragement, for us here now, Chen at a loss for words, “gaman” sounds like ‘come on’ Come On Let’s DO this! I will remember this anecdote (bit of history and bit of languages ESL and second languages) whenever I need to hear or offer encouragement.
