As we pass day 12 of the Canada Post strike, I happened to dig up some old CUPW pins my mom had during the rotating strikes lasting 19 days in 1987. She has a lot of fascinating stories about labour action in this country.

If you’re REALLY trying to “solve” traffic congestion, then road widenings and more car lanes are expensive exercises in futility — unless of course your REAL goal is even more people driving more often and longer in the same or worse congestion, fuelled by a lot more suburban sprawl. #induceddemand
