~$90 for three people to see a movie and another $50 for stale popcorn and soda - while the seats are busted and the floors are sticky - is a big part of why they stay empty too. Folks can wait to save $$ for most movies. (They will soon raise streaming/purchase fees way up to compensate. 🥴)

If we had a secession, poor red states would sell off to foreign interests that would drain their resources and further infiltrate what is left of our country. Imagine state tariffs, travel bans, foreign military etc. Divided we fall, it’s why so much outside money poured into divisive propaganda.

If you have any outdoor lighting near the garage, you might want to replace the light bulbs with motion sensor lightbulbs. If they are most likely to break into the garage, you could put an unmounted camera inside the garage. Unfortunately, if they disguise/cover up, it won’t do you much good.

You would very rarely get 10 days in hospital here. Nearly everything is ‘outpatient’ and stays are under 3 days. Depending on your co-pay and annual max (which are commonly high to keep monthly insurance lower), we’d pay btwn 2k-20k. Uninsured? As much as 200k+ possibly a lot more w/ 10 day stay. 🫣

I got $11-$14/hr as a cashier with only a few years experience at a big box store in 1997-00 while in school. We can and should do better than that 25+ yrs later for people who have agreed to put their lives on the line for our safety.

Probably because this is about women who are miscarrying at home and being charged with desecrating fetal remains (and/or illegal abortion) even though they aren’t often provided with any other options bc doctors send them home.

This is absolutely true. 🥰Unfortunately, it goes both ways. Some nurses advocate for the option/care that leads to harm because their gut feeling is centered in prejudice or bigotry.

Camp Mystic was situated in a swath of Texas Hill Country known as "flash flood alley."
Why would state/local government ever allow anyone to build a children’s camp in “flash flood alley,” especially without proper warning systems in place?

If you are anti-science and religious, you have to believe that God has been punishing folks or you have to embrace conspiracy to explain the devastating things you don’t understand. I think you can see why they usually opt for the former when they don’t like the victims and the latter when they do.
